At the start of 2022, I co-founded Picture It In Lights, a custom light-sign business
built from the ground up. As co-owner, I led the creative and technical side—from
concept and design to production and development—while my partner focused on operations
and marketing. We bootstrapped the venture with passion and determination, but due to
limited funding, we made the tough decision to close the business in mid-2024. Since,
I earned my Google UX Design Certificate and took the opportunity to completely redesign
and rebuild our e-commerce website—handling both the front-end user experience and
back-end functionality. The members page and admin back end is open, no login required -
On the homepage select the 'Members' button then on the member login page select the
'Member' button on the login panel - For the admin back end click on the hamburger button
to open the side menu and select 'Admin', on the admin login page select the 'Profile'
button on the login panel. If you’d like to explore the site, click the image above.
Otherwise, read on for a look into my UX design approach and thought process behind the
user interactions.

Picture It In Lights: Lo Fi Prototype
This Low Fidelity Prototype shows the basic functionality of the Picture It In
Lights website. The button menu allows users to quickly access shopping and
their member page. It displays the process of purchasing a product item and
going through checkout. You can access the lo fi prototype by clicking on the link.
Picture It In Lights was a great experience and I learned a lot about
operating a business. I'm glad I was able to revisit the website and
take what I've learned to make improvements on it. Please select the
